James J. Piscopo joined MaltaToday in 2013 after starting his career as a journalist with Newsbook.com.mt and RTK radio. He graduated in European Studies and International Relations from the University of Malta in 2012. Piscopo presented current affairs programme 'X'Hemm Gdid' on RTK radio before joining MaltaToday. Closely following national and EU politics, he interviewed several politicians such as European Socialists' leader Hannes Swoboda and EU commissioner Laszlo Andor among others. He also writes for Maltese language newspaper Illum.
